What Happens After You Contact Us
Most people contact a kitchen contractor without being sure what comes next. Here is exactly how it works with us.
1. A Short Phone Call
Within one business day, a member of our team calls you back. We ask about the kitchen, what you want to change, your timeline and your budget range. If the project is something we do — and almost every kitchen project is — we schedule a visit. If it isn’t, we tell you, and when we can, we suggest who might help.
2. The In-Home Visit
The visit takes about an hour. We measure the room, photograph it, and look beyond the kitchen: the basement below for plumbing access and floor framing, the electrical panel for capacity, the route from the street for deliveries, and, in condos, the building’s common areas. We talk through how you use the space and what bothers you about it. Bring photos of kitchens you like, a list of appliances you want to keep and any association rules if you live in a condo.
3. Layout Options and a Written Estimate
Within about a week or two, you receive layout options and a written, line-item estimate. You can compare layouts, change selections and ask questions. Nothing is final until you are comfortable with the plan and the price.
4. Contract, Ordering and Permits
When you are ready, we prepare a contract that meets Massachusetts home improvement requirements: scope, price, payment schedule, start and completion dates. Then we order materials, file permits and, for condos, submit the association package.
5. Construction
Construction starts once materials are confirmed. Your project lead sends weekly updates and is your single point of contact until the final walkthrough.
What We Need From You
- Your address and the best time to visit
- A rough idea of your budget — even a range helps us design the right project
- Photos or links to kitchens you like
- Appliances you want to keep, with model numbers if you have them
- Condo association rules, if they apply
- Any known problems: leaks, tripping breakers, soft floors
