About RS Kitchen Remodeling
RS Kitchen Remodeling is the kitchen division of R.S Builders, a Greater Boston contractor whose motto is “Built on Trust. Defined by Quality.” We design and build kitchens for homeowners and condo owners from our Worcester office, across Central Massachusetts and Greater Boston.
How We Work
Most kitchen projects go wrong in the gaps — between the designer and the builder, between the cabinet order and the demolition date, between what was promised and what was written down. We close those gaps by doing the design and the construction ourselves, ordering everything before we start, and putting the scope, price and schedule in writing.
We know Boston’s houses: plaster walls, balloon framing, triple-decker plumbing stacks, condo associations and historic districts. We plan for them instead of discovering them halfway through.
- One project lead from first visit to final inspection
- Materials on site before demolition
- Permits and inspections handled for you
- Nothing extra without your signature

What We Promise
Who We Are
RS Kitchen Remodeling is the kitchen team of R.S Builders, a Greater Boston construction company that builds kitchens, bathrooms and additions. Our motto — “Built on Trust. Defined by Quality.” — describes how we want every client to feel at the end of a project: that what was promised was delivered, and that the work will last.
We focus on kitchens because they are the most demanding room in a house. A kitchen brings together carpentry, plumbing, electrical, ventilation, stone fabrication, tile, flooring and finishing in one small space, often in an old building with its own surprises. Doing that well requires planning, coordination and people who have seen the inside of a lot of Boston walls.
How We Design
Design starts with how you live, not with a catalog. We ask who cooks, how often, where the groceries land, where people sit, what you never have room for. Then we measure carefully, look at the structure and systems, and draw two or three layouts with the cost of each. You see the trade-offs on paper — a closed doorway versus an island, a moved sink versus a longer counter — before deciding.
Once a layout is chosen, we develop the details: cabinet sizes and interiors, appliance specifications, lighting, outlets, ventilation and finishes. Every decision is made before construction, because decisions made during demolition are the most expensive kind.
How We Price
Our estimates are written line by line: demolition, framing, electrical, plumbing, ventilation, insulation, walls, flooring, cabinets, counters, backsplash, trim, paint, permits. Where you haven’t made a selection yet, the estimate shows an allowance and what it covers. Payments follow progress, and the deposit stays within what Massachusetts law allows. If we find something hidden in the walls that wasn’t part of the scope, we stop, show you, and give you a written price before any extra work begins.
How We Build
- Every cabinet, appliance and fixture confirmed on site before demolition
- Floor protection, dust barriers and daily cleanup
- Lead-safe work practices in homes built before 1978
- Licensed electricians and plumbers pulling their own permits
- Inspections booked ahead and attended by us
- A weekly update with photos and the next week’s schedule
- A final walkthrough and a punch list completed with you
How We Communicate
One project lead manages your job from the first visit to the final inspection. You have one phone number to call, and you get answers rather than referrals. Each week you receive a short update: what was done, what is next, and any decisions we need from you. If something changes — a delivery date, an inspection — you hear it from us first.
Where We Work
Our office is at 120 Stafford St, Unit 208 in Worcester. We work in Worcester and nine nearby Central Massachusetts towns — Shrewsbury, Auburn, Holden, Westborough, Grafton, Millbury, Leicester, West Boylston, Marlborough — and in every Boston neighborhood plus sixteen towns around the city: Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Newton, Quincy, Milton, Needham, Wellesley, Dedham, Arlington, Medford, Belmont, Lexington, Watertown, Waltham, Braintree. Each service area page explains what we usually find in that town’s homes.
